Have you just bought several indoor trees but don't know how to care for them? Do not worry. We will help you to enjoy them for many years. And, these plants are beautiful, but they need a series of special attention to be able to stay well.

When we fail with watering or we forget to fertilize them, the leaves suffer a lot. That is why it is necessary to know what care do they need.

Where do I locate my indoor trees?

Trees are plants that usually grow several meters. The good thing about growing them in pots is that we can control their growth without problems much easier than if they were planted in soil. Even so, it is important that they receive the amount of light they need, otherwise it is most likely that we will have to get rid of them shortly after having acquired them.

Therefore, it is recommended put them in a very bright room, in which a lot of natural light enters. But in addition, they have to be protected from drafts, both cold and warm.

When and how do I water them?

Irrigation is essential, but also one of the most difficult tasks to control, especially when it comes to indoor plants. The frequency will vary depending on the season of the year in which we are, because during the warmer months the water requirements of the plants will be much higher than in the cold months.

Thus, in general you will have to water two or three times a week in summer, and a little less the rest of the year. We must not forget to remove the excess water from the dish that we have ten minutes after watering to prevent the roots from rotting.

When and with what do I fertilize them?

Although we do not care that they grow too much, from time to time we will have to pay them with liquid organic fertilizers, Such as guano, following the indications specified on the product packaging. The time to pay is spring and summer, and we can continue to fertilize in autumn if we live in an area with a mild climate.

Do I have to transplant them?

Of course. Every 2-3 years, in spring, we must plant our indoor trees in a pot that is 3-5cm wider, using appropriate substrates for each species (you have more information here).
