And it is that whether we have grass that needs a lot of maintenance, such as a pond or a garden where it rains very regularly, taking care of them is very easy.

Origin and characteristics
The plants known as acoro they are perennial rhizomatous herbaceous belonging to the botanical genus Acorus. Its leaves are unifacial, simple, undivided, with parallel venation, and green in color. They can measure from 30 to 60 centimeters depending on the species. The flowers are grouped in an inflorescence formed by a spadix and a long linear spathe. The fruit is a berry with 1-9 seeds.
They grow in the swamps of the northern hemisphere, so they are able to resist some frosts and humid places better than other plants.
What are their cares?
If you want to have a copy, we recommend that you provide it with the following care:
- Location: the acoro must be outside, either in full sun or in semi-shade.
- Earth:
- Pot: universal growing substrate mixed with 30% perlite.
- Garden: it is indifferent as long as it has good drainage.
- Irrigation: it must be frequent, since it lives near waterways. Ideally, keep the soil or substrate always moist, so that if you have it in a pot you can put a plate underneath without problems.
- Subscriber: from the beginning of spring to the end of summer it can be fertilized with organic fertilizers once a month so that it has an excellent growth.
- Multiplication: by seeds in spring.
- Rusticity: withstands cold and frosts down to -6ºC.
