Among the latests Moravia's compositions aquatic flowers one of the most beautiful and remarkable is the Aguape, with its generous size and intense color.
This is one of the many aquatic plants that you can have if you want to build a pond to create different areas in the garden.
Features
Unlike other aquatic plants, the Aguape stands out for its particular morphology as it is a large plant with huge green rounded leaves intense that can measure up to 2 meters long. These leaves are also reticulated and with spiral ribs while presenting perpendicular edges. It is this edge that allows the leaves to float because thanks to it the water does not enter the surface of the leaf.
The leaves, supported by a petiole that in turn is attached to a rhizome that is under water, float in the water forming a very attractive and particular environment and that is why they are ideal when the pond or aquatic space is large. Otherwise, the plant will take space away from other species.
But also Aguapé gives a beautiful flower on each leaf, a single flower that is always born at night and is very perfumed. With white or pink petals, they are also large and measure between 20 and 40 centimeters.
Origins of Aguapé
It is one of the most impressive aquatic plants that you can find. If you want to buy it, you can ask for Aguapé or for the other names with which this plant is known: Royal Victory, Water Corn, Royal Nymph, Water Dish and even Giant Lotus. His official name however is none other than Amazon victory.
This species is originally from America and you can find it in countries like Brazil, Colombia, Peru and Guyana.
