If you dare to have one, follow our advice to make it look healthy and produce a large number of flowers:

  • Location: outside, in full sun; indoors it has to be in a room with plenty of natural light.
  • Substratum: highly recommended to use sandy substrates, such as akadama, perlite or river sand.
  • Irrigation: moderate in summer, somewhat scarcer the rest of the year. It is important to let the substrate dry before watering again.
  • Subscriber: During spring and summer it must be paid with mineral fertilizers, such as Nitrofoska. To do this, you have to fill a small spoonful and spread the compost around the cactus once every 15 days.
  • Transplant: in spring, every two years.
  • Rusticity: withstands cold down to -3ºC.
