Collect flower seeds II

Calendula

To get seeds of plants, we will generally have to look for them in the flowers of this. Sometimes the seeds appear when the dried flowers themselves fall, and other times, we will find them in the flower calyx or in the fruit pod.

La Marigold It is a plant that produces abundant flowers. When the flowers wither, the seeds appear in their place, which will first be green and then dry and turn brown. They are hard and rough seeds. They germinate very well and can be sown all year round.

Another plant whose seeds emerge when the flowers dry is the Cosmos. This plant can reach one meter in height and blooms from summer to autumn. During this time it produces many flowers, some dry up and others appear. When they dry, the petals fall off and the seeds appear in their place, just like those of the marigold. These seeds are green in color but will eventually turn black. We will save them and plant them the following year.

Wallflower

To obtain the seeds of the Wallflower we will wait for the flowers to disappear and the fruit pods to emerge. When these pods are green we will collect them and let them dry. Once dry, we open them and we will find the seeds inside. These seeds germinate very well and can be planted throughout the year, since like the Calendula, the Wallflower is a plant that supports low temperatures well and we can enjoy it in winter.

El tile it is a plant with very curious seeds. These are small and hairy at the top, while the bottom is sharp and pointed. These seeds are similar to a small arrow and are found in the calyx of the flower. When the petals wither, we will collect the calyxes of the flowers and open them and there we will find the seeds.
