Compost for a vegetable garden

As we all know, compost is a very important element to take into account when planting any tree, flower or crop, and for that reason this time we want to talk a little about the compost for a vegetable garden.

It is important to note that we can use different types of compost in a vegetable garden, but it will always help you to have very fertile soil with all the necessary nutrients for the vegetables to develop correctly and properly. Pay close attention to the types of special fertilizers for vegetables.

First of all, we have the Organic fertilizers, which are those made with compost, mulch, manure, among others. These types of fertilizers are of natural origin and produce humus at the same time that they release the nutrients that plants need to develop, such as sulfur, phosphorus and nitrogen. Organic fertilizers are slower absorption, but favor any type of soil and are the best long-term option, since the nutrients that are produced remain in the soil for a longer amount of time.

On the other hand we have the mineral fertilizers, which come from synthesized chemicals. Generally these fertilizers are the most used, since they are faster release than organic fertilizers, producing results more quickly. However, unlike natural fertilizers, they are a bit more expensive and stay in the soil for a shorter time, causing the nutrients to dilute quickly.

As a last option we have the foliar fertilizers, which are applied on the leaves of the plants. This is the technique used when after using the other two types of fertilizers we have not obtained good results. Foliar fertilizers are quite useful if the soil is not very deep, since they will have a quick response.
