Our protagonist is a hanging succulent plant composed of cylindrical leaves whose scientific name is sedum morganianum. The stems can be about 40-50cm long, so It is considered a very interesting species to have on high tables or to hang from the ceiling as you can see in the picture above.
Being originally from Mexico and having a rapid growth rate, it easily resists high temperatures and mild frosts down to -2ºC. If you live in an area where the climate is cooler, you don't have to worry, since you can use it to decorate the interior of your home without problems.
How do you take care of yourself?
If you want to have one or more copies, then we tell you the care it requires:
- Location: outdoors in semi-shade; indoors it has to be in a room with lots of light.
- Irrigation: two or three times a week in summer, and every 4-5 days the rest of the year.
- Substratum: it must have very good drainage. It is advisable to mix black peat with perlite in equal parts, or use pumice.
- Subscriber: from spring to late summer with a specific fertilizer for cacti and succulent plants following the instructions specified on the package.
- Transplant: in spring, every two-three years.
- Multiplication: by seeds and by stem or leaf cuttings in spring-summer.
- Rusticity: supports weak frosts down to -2ºC, but needs protection against hail.
