Fertilizers for potted plants

One of the elements that we can find in most houses, as well as in almost all gardens, are las flowerpots. Even today, it is quite unlikely that we will visit a house that does not have at least one plant inside its home. Plants, although they do not produce striking flowers, not only will give a very special touch to our decoration, but also provide a color that no other decorative element could provide.

However, in order to have these plants in excellent condition, and make them look very good, we must make sure to give them the necessary care and food. It is for this reason that today we want to talk to you about the compost for potted plants, which will be essential so that you can apply it to your plants and help them to develop optimally.

Generally, manures or fertilizers that are used in plants that are planted in pots, they are liquid or slow-release fertilizers. This type of fertilizer, it is advisable to apply them during the months of March and October, trying to do it every 15 days. If you use another type of fertilizer, I recommend that you use them only once a month. Remember that liquid fertilizers are consumed immediately, so you should apply them every two weeks, while the others, slow release, last approximately 3 months.

It is vital that you be careful with amounts of fertilizer that you apply, since in case of applying an excess of this, you could end up damaging your plant. If, on the other hand, you apply too little, although the plant could be damaged, it would not be as harmful as if you fertilized in excess. In the same way, if the plant you have is a flower plant, it will be convenient for you to use a fertilizer rich in potassium to stimulate flowering.
