Throughout the growing season, that is, from spring to late summer / early fall, we must pay them with a fertilizer for palm trees as this following the instructions specified on the package. We can also choose to pay them with guano (liquid), which is natural.
Transplant
In spring you have to change them pot, especially if we had never done it before. To do this, they must be planted in pots that are at least 4cm wider than the previous one, with universal growing medium mixed with 30% perlite. If we want to further improve drainage, before filling the container, we will add a layer of volcanic clay of about 2-3cm.

If we want to decorate the home with a palm tree and enjoy it for many years, it is very important that we first inform ourselves about which species can be grown in pots and indoors. Why am I saying this? Because in nurseries and garden stores they sell palm trees that either reach heights of more than 3 meters, or are not adapted to indoor conditions, or ... both. A clear example is the coconut tree. This plant not only reaches 7 meters or more, but it needs much more light than it enters homes and, as if that were not enough, it is very sensitive to cold, so sadly it is used as a seasonal plant when in its natural habitat can live for almost 100 years.
