How to care for plant leaves II

Leaves II

Keep them leaves of our healthy and shiny plants is one of the main tasks of gardening. That is why we continue to give you a series of tips on how take care of the leaves of the plants, so you can detect and treat problems early.

Often the leaves dry completely and those closest to the roots begin to fall. This tells us that these plants need lower temperatures.

When cold air is the problem the edges turn brown. It can also happen that the specimen is placed in the middle of a draft or near a window and that causes the leaves to turn yellow and fall.

Another possibility, when you notice that the tips and edges are dry, is that there is an excess in the use of fertilizers that burns the plant.

If you notice that one of your plants is healthy but does not grow in volume and flowering, in that case it is most likely that the roots are very tight due to lack of space and need a larger pot.

Most of the species that we grow indoors are from tropical climates, with environments with very constant temperatures throughout the year. That is why the change of climate affects them and causes their flowering to fall.

Another natural process, such as temperature, is the leaf aging: many times the lower leaves get old and have to be removed to renew them.

By following all these tips, the leaves of your plants will look healthy and shiny throughout the year.

Could you please tell me what happens to the page in the first photo? I have had the same problem in some plant, and this year luckily I have only seen it in an «unprecedented herb». I would really appreciate it.

I have a stick of water today and its leaves are brown, I changed the pot, place and nothing. There was no improvement. The roots were abundant, fine and pink. I hope it sprouts again.
