What is the Pleiospilos nelii like?
Our protagonist is a non-cactus succulent or crass plant whose scientific name is Pleiospilos nelii. It is native to South Africa and belongs to the botanical family Aizoaceae. It is characterized by having very fleshy green or purple leaves with small and many dark green specks.. In the center of each leaf, two new ones grow during the warmer months of the year. Its flowers are orange or pink, and sprout in early summer.
Grows to a height of 5cm, and it can be in a 8,5cm diameter pot throughout its life.
