And almost without realizing it, Christmas is already around the corner. It's time to prepare the home so that the whole family can enjoy the Christmas holidays in the best possible way, putting those decorative elements that will make you breathe that festive atmosphere that you like to have so much at the end of the year.

Let us know how to decorate the house at Christmas.

Artificial plants, the best option

Artificial plants are the most ideal for decorating the house at Christmas, since they do not require maintenance and they look beautiful every day. In addition, in many parts of the world when this wonderful holiday is celebrated the temperatures are very low, which means that in many homes we have the heating on, something that natural plants do not like since their leaves quickly turn ugly. With artificial plants we will not have that problem. Also, as you can see in the image above, they look really good 🙂.

Choose leaves in shades of green so that the most interesting decorative elements, such as gifts or flowers, stand out much more.

Decorate your home with a Christmas Tree

Being at christmas the tree cannot be missing, and less if you have small children. Although in nurseries and garden stores there are conifers - usually of the Picea or Abies genera - that are sold with the aim of being inside the home, I do not recommend them. I'll tell you why: these plants are native to areas where the winter climate is very cold (mountainous areas of North America, Europe and Asia). The temperature in the home is too high for them, and the warm drafts hurt them quite a bit.

For this reason, they could look pretty for a few days and that's it. Instead, artificial trees can be used year after year no problem.

Decorate the windows

Whether you have a balcony or not, do not forget to decorate the windows with garlands, bells, and other decorative elements. They look very good since you will also give more life to the outside.
