How to increase humidity for indoor plants

Moisture in the leaves of a plant

The plants that we label as "indoor" are plants that come from places where the climate is tropical humid, that is, they not only enjoy more or less stable warm temperatures, but also tend to rain fairly regularly. Therefore, adapting to living inside a home is a significant challenge for them, as they often have to adapt to lower temperatures and a drier environment than they need.

But ... does that mean you have to spray them from time to time? Well, there will be people who will say yes, but I am one of those who will say no, for the simple reason that the water that remains on the leaves clogs the pores, preventing them from breathing. This if they were outside would not be a problem since the air runs, but at home it can be their death. Then, How to increase humidity for indoor plants?

Putting the indoor plants together -but respecting the space of each one- will help them all to create a microclimate in that area., since when they breathe they will expel water through the pores of the leaves. In this way, the ambient humidity will increase. If you want to know more about this phenomenon, enter here.

Another way to get high humidity for our beloved indoor plants is placing bowls or vases made of glass -or another waterproof and hard material, such as ceramic- and placing them near them. To make them more beautiful, we can put small artificial plants that will give color and more life to that area. 🙂

With these two simple tricks, getting indoor plants healthy will be very simple, I assure you.
