I'm going for the third renovation myself. And it is that, no matter how many drafts you make, no matter how excited you are to have it that way or another, as time goes by you realize that it certainly looked better on paper. But do not worry.
En Jardinería On we really like to help (we wouldn't be here if we didn't :) so I'm going to give you a few ideas to beautify the garden.
Lay out some garden gnomes
A garden is a living place, but it should also be cheerful. An explosion of nature that allows you to enjoy gardening as you have always wanted. Get a few garden gnomes and place them, for example, next to the area of bulbous or aromatic plants.
Match the colors
When making a garden, it is very important to take into account the size that the plants will acquire once they are adults to plant them so that they all receive the amount of light they need, but this is not the only thing. There always has to be something that stands out more, either because of its flower or because of the autumnal color of its leaves.. So, if for example you have azaleasAs they produce such decorative flowers, feel free to plant them in a corner where they can look good.
Cover tree trunks with vines
Normally, I would not advise it, but if you are pruning the vine regularly, there is no reason for problems. Yes, choose small climbers non-invasive, such as jasmine, climbing rose or the akebia. These three also have very pretty flowers 🙂.
If this idea does not convince you, you can always put them on architectural structures, such as walls or lattices.
Build stone planters

Plastic planters are very nice, but If you want them to be better integrated into the garden, I encourage you to build them yourself using stones and / or rocks., like the ones you can see in the image. Then, all that remains is to plant what you prefer in them: agapanthus, rose bushes, liriopes,... you can even put a shrub like polygala or lavender. oleander, or palm trees that don't need a lot of space like the phoenix robellini, Chamaerops humilis, Chamaedorea or Trachycarpus fortunei.
Greens sloping areas

Sloping areas are often a problem. But they are also very easy to green. With plants like dimorphotheque, capuchina, or larger ones like the carex, you can give this problem area a try. Although if you want to have color all year round, if the direct sun does not give it, I advise you more to put succulents like the Sempervivum: they are very, very strong and durable 😉.
