There are many Japanese maples, and from time to time new cultivars come out, but there are varieties that are natural; that is, they can be found in nature. One of them is the Acer palmatum 'Deshojo', which is as easy to find and care for as the original species.

In addition, if it is planted with a suitable substrate it will be able to live well, without problems, even in areas such as the Mediterranean. But of course, for that it is important to know their characteristics, as well as their preferences. Let's go there.

These change color throughout the year: carmine red in spring, greenish in summer, and reddish again before falling in autumn.

It blooms in spring, and its seeds (samaras) are ripe after about three months after pollination.
