This variety has Spanish origin, positioning itself as the second most important within Spain, after the Primofiori lemon, in addition to being ranked fifth globally. Actually, represents 20% of production and it is usually cultivated mainly within the orchards of both Murcia and Alicante.

The verna lemon is characterized by having an elongated shape whose ends end in a point, it is of an intense yellow color; and stands out for being a variety that has almost no seeds, and has a low level of acidity.

Likewise, it must be said that these are lemons of a large size, which have a juicy and tender pulp, offering a large percentage of juice and having a low acidity. It should also be noted that the Verdelli variety usually stands out for having a thinner and smoother skin compared to the harvest.
