List of small trees for garden

lagerstroemia

Good Morning! What better way to start this hot Tuesday than with a list of small trees for garden? Well, for the garden ... or for a flowerpot, since all of them support pruning reasonably well, meaning that, if you don't have land, you can have them decorating your patio or terrace.

Do you want to know what they are? Check out.

Tree of love

I love the love tree. Its beautiful flowers appear in spring, and its seeds are ready to be sown towards the end of summer. With a height of about five meters, it has deciduous leaves. It is resistant to mild frosts, and is one of the most suitable for hot and dry climates.

Jupiter tree

El Jupiter tree It has very decorative flowers, pink, red or white depending on the variety, and deciduous leaves. It has a rather slow growth, being able to reach 3-4 meters. It will grow without difficulty in soils with a low pH, between 4 and 6. But… if you don't have a garden or if you have clay soil, you can have it in a pot.

Japanese maple

Who has not ever fallen in love with japanese maple? These beautiful deciduous trees, widely used as bonsai, are suitable for small gardens, especially the "Atropurpureum", "Butterfly", or "Orange Dream" varieties, which also happen to be the easiest to get. These trees do not exceed 4 meters in height. In addition, they have a controllable growth, through pruning, but also avoiding the use of fast-acting fertilizers (such as guano, or chemical fertilizers that we find in nurseries). All they need is an acidic irrigation water and substrate, with a pH between 4 and 6, and a temperate climate.

Albizia

La Albizia It is one of the most interesting deciduous or semi-persistent saplings that we find in gardens lately. With a maximum height of about 5m, it has a thin trunk and very ornamental leaves, which can be green or… chocolate colored, depending on the variety. It also supports light frosts, and is a lover of the sun.

Cow leg

La Cow leg It is a deciduous tree whose flowers are, as you can see in the image, ideal to give a very striking color to the garden. It has a height of about 5 meters, a thin trunk and, as if that were not enough, its growth is fast. What more could you want? Oh, and by the way, it resists weak frosts.

Lilo

El lilo It has some flowers that attract a lot of attention. Although it is considered more of a large bush than a tree, because of its beauty we had to include it in the list. It is suitable for Mediterranean climates, since it supports drought, clay soil ... well, it is perfect for your garden.

Which of them would you stay with?
