Origin and characteristics
The Prunus insititia, whose original scientific name is Prunus domestica subsp. institution, is a deciduous fruit tree known as greater blackthorn, wild plum, damascene plum or damascus plum. It is a plant native to Damascus, the capital of present-day Syria.
Reaches a height of 7-10 meters, with simple leaves and the edge finally toothed. The flowers, which sprout in spring, are small, 1,5cm, white. The fruit is oval in shape with a smooth texture, with a greenish-yellow pulp, and a skin that ranges from blue to indigo.
What are their cares?
