All the tabebuia They are a genus of trees native to tropical and subtropical America, characterized by spectacular flowering. And it is that, when its flowers sprout, they cover all the branches of the plant, so that they beautify the place.
They are very fast growing plants ideal for medium or large gardens, where they can develop without problems.
Characteristics of the Tabebuia
These trees grow to a height of approximately between six and ten meters, with a crown of between 3 and 6m, depending on the species. Its leaves are deciduous, palmately foliolate, green in color. Its flowers appear grouped in paniculate inflorescences, white, yellow, lilac or red. The fruit is elongated and thin, measuring about 20-25cm in length by 1cm in width, inside which are the seeds.
Its growth rate is medium-fast, as long as they have space and a warm climate, without frost, since unfortunately they do not resist the cold at all. For this reason, its cultivation outdoors is only recommended in those areas where temperatures remain mild throughout the year, with a minimum of 10ºC and a maximum of 35ºC.
