Types of evergreens

Evergreen trees

The ficus has become one of the most popular trees on the market, perhaps because it is so undemanding. It can be seen in gardens, balconies and terraces, it develops and extends during the spring and summer but in the autumn and winter it is noble because its leaves remain almost intact to withstand inclement weather without being affected.

It is one of the evergreen trees easy and therefore a great choice for all those who want to preserve the green throughout the year. You are not the only one, share the scene with willows or birches, all trees that adapt to climatic conditions without losing its leaves.

Perennial and hardy

When talking about perennial refers to the ability to preserve the leaves throughout the year. Also called evergreen, evergreen trees they renew their leaves little by little and that is why it is not necessary that at one time of the year they fall for new ones to grow. The process is gradual but effective: while some leaves grow, the others fall in a process that has no end.

Despite sharing this characteristic, there are different types of evergreens.

Broad evergreen trees

Here are grouped the ficus and some fruit trees such as orange but also magnolia, willow, holm oak, olive or eucalyptus, all very broad-leaved trees that are generally also generous in size.

Rubber plant

Yes, they are large and robust and the leaves are strong and noble, which is why they are always kept in the glass, renewing without problems. Most of them have a tropical climate, although there are also some species whose natural habitats are temperate.

Evergreens with scale leaves

To better understand this subcategory, it is enough to know some species that make it up, such as the conifers, including pines, larches, cypresses, and yews. It is then about those trees whose elongated, rigid and pointed leaves are preserved throughout the year.

Many of them also coincide with temperate or cold habitats, areas of mountains or forests such as Siberia, Alaska or the South American mountain range.
