Rose Bush Weed Control

La weed or weedIt also appears when we plant rose bushes in our garden. Not only do they give it that unkempt and unpleasant appearance, but they also steal the nutrients, water and minerals that help our rose bush to develop and flourish properly.

There are 2 types of weeds: annual herbs, which are born from seeds and perennial herbs, which in addition to being born from seeds can germinate from bulblets and rhizomes.

¿How to remove weeds? Weeds can be destroy or eliminate in different ways:

  • With hand
  • With a string trimmer: you must be very careful not to touch the trunks of the rose bush, as they could die. It is often a little careless and touching the logs when trying to eliminate the weeds that grow near them, but we must be very careful not to cause injuries. These wounds generate cuts through the vessels where the sap or food of the plant circulates and our rose can end up dying.
  • With herbicides: Although they are quite effective, we must be especially careful when using these chemicals. You should avoid spraying the leaves and flowers as we could burn and mistreat them. The herbicides that are used should be according to the weeds that grow in your garden.

The herbicides that are used for annual weeds are glyphosate, it burns the grass and removes it immediately and residual herbicides, are applied directly to the soil and keep the soil clean and free of weeds.

Similarly, the herbicide used for perennial weeds must be a total herbicide, which will burn the weeds that grow near the rose bush.
