Color scheme in the garden

Flower garden

We are going to talk about a somewhat special topic, but which in turn is extremely important when it comes to wanting to have a little paradise as soon as you leave the house: color scheme in the garden. And it is that, when we visit a botanical garden, we all marvel at the great variety of colors it presents, and above all, at how the plants are distributed, since only those that lead us to specific points (area of rest, source, exit, among others).

But how can we combine them to achieve that balance, that harmony?

Garden

The most important thing is the discretion. Both extremes (too much / little color) will damage the aesthetics of your garden, so it is important that, before we start planting, we make a somewhat different draft: instead of putting the names of the plants, divide your land into zones of colors. You can combine two or more in the same area to see how it looks.

I also recommend that choose those that go with your character, that they represent you in one way or another. For example: if you are a calm person, then soft colors like pink, white, mauve… are for you; On the other hand, if you are very nervous and / or restless, you may prefer colors that stand out a lot, such as yellow or red.

And ... what do we put in the background? So as not to be mistaken, it is preferable to put a color that does not stand out much, so that the plants in front can shine more. And I'll tell you even more: play with the color range. Go putting those warmer (that is, red, yellow or orange) in front, and as you go away, put those cooler (blue, purple or green).

If you like the end result, then you just need to choose the plants that you like the most, and plant 🙂.

Enjoy your garden.
