If we plant in flower pot, we will need, at least, a container of 3 liters and 10 cm. diameter. The garlic root is not deep, so in a window box or a cultivating table, it could have a very adequate space, as long as we respect a distance of 10 cm. between plant and plant.
Garlic is kind of direct seedingIt does not need a previous germination in the seedbed. The same clove of garlic serves us as a seed. To sow it, we will buy a head of garlic and choose the teeth with the best shape, size and appearance. We will discard those that have grown in groups (2 or 3 teeth together) or those that lose their skin when separated.
