Succulent plants

sedum palmeri

All the succulents are plants appropriate for any environment and place. They do not require much care and they come in all possible colors and shapes.

Irrigation should not be abundant and depending on the plant, it may be in direct sunlight or not. Today I will talk about some succulent, but all of them serve so much to be in pots as in gardens. It is necessary to take into account the presence of frosts in winter, since these can burn the plants and therefore, it is better to place them in pots. In winter we will have them indoors and in summer, we can take them outside.

La sedum palmeri It is a green succulent with red tones. It is striking for the shape of its leaves, as they are fleshy and star-shaped. It produces abundant yellow flowers in spring.

suaveolens

There is another sedum similar to the previous one, whose name is Sedum Suaveolens. This Sedum has star-shaped leaves as well, although their color differs from the previous one, as it has a more grayish color.

Aenium

El Aenium Arboreum o Black Aeonium is another succulent that stands out for its reddish color on the stems and its dark purple and green on the leaves. The more direct sun it receives, the darker its leaves get. It produces yellow flowers very similar to those of the Sedum palmeri.

La Tradescantia Navicularis It is creeping in style and has reddish stems with overlapping green leaves. Its leaves have a pink color that arise from some filaments.

praealtum

Finally another Sedum is the Praealtum, a very common succulent in any home. It is a plant with green leaves if the sun does not hit them, however, if the sun hits them directly, it will turn the green stems into yellow and the leaves will have red edges.

very good note of the succulents are very good for the dunes since the breeze from the beach does not damage them ??????????
and in the interiors they give a good contrast….

Not all succulents are resistant to salinity. If you want a succulent that grows in the dunes of the beach, plant Portulaca grandiflora and / or Carpobrotus edulis, they are very strong and they are very beautiful flowers, but be careful, they need control because they can be convert into invasive species harmful to the ecosystem.
