La desert rose, whose scientific name is Adenium obesum, is a plant that we must place in a very bright area. Now where exactly? The ideal would be to have it in a greenhouse, which we can make ourselves with a small shelf and transparent plastic, since that way we would have it protected from drafts. Now, if we have no choice but to keep it indoors, I recommend wrapping it with plastic, or placing it in a room as far away as possible from these currents.
How often do I water it?
Irrigation has to be very, very low. Since the plant is not growing, it will not be necessary to water it much. In fact, It should only be watered when the substrate is completely dry, once a month or every month and a half. If we see that the trunk is softening and we have not watered for a long time, we can add a little water. In the event that we have put a plate underneath, we will remove the water that has been left over ten minutes after watering.
Do I have to pay for it?
No. As there is no growth, it should not be paid. What we can do is add a spoon of Nitrofoska Azul once a month, as this will keep the roots a little warmer, protected from the cold, which will help it survive the winter and reach spring with strength.
