Kalanchoe daigremontiana

Kalanchoe thyrsiflora
Kalanchoe, usually perennial plants, can grow to a maximum height of 6 meters like the species K.beharensis, although most do not exceed 2m. Its fleshy leaves can be light green or darker green, with pink or reddish edges.
So that they can develop well, It will be necessary for them to be located in an area where direct sunlight hits them., since otherwise its leaves would etiolate, that is, they would lengthen, which would weaken the plants. In the case that they come from a greenhouse, it will be convenient to place them in semi-shade and get used to the direct sun little by little and gradually.

If we talk about the substrate, it must be porous. Excess moisture seriously harms them, so to avoid problems the earth has to facilitate the drainage of water. For this reason, it is advisable to use black peat mixed with perlite in equal parts and to water only when the soil is dry.
Throughout the growing season, that is, in spring and summer, must be paid with mineral fertilizers. For this, you can use fertilizers for cacti and other succulents following the instructions specified on the package, or Nitrofoska, adding a small spoonful every 15 days.

Being fast growing, every 1-2 years we will have to transfer them to pots about 3-5cm wider. If a stem breaks there is no problem, since it can be used to plant in a separate pot to obtain a new specimen.
