How to make a water garden

Water is the element of life. Without it, the world would be totally different: without animals or plants that populated it. For all this, water gardens are one of the greatest representations of nature. Spaces that invite you to relax while observing the landscape and listening to the song of the birds.

If you want to know how to make a water garden, follow these tips to make your dreams come true.

Design an idyllic pond

You have to know where to place it so that it looks really good. So that, it is highly recommended put it in a quiet area, since one of its objectives will be to help visitors disconnect from their daily problems, and sufficiently illuminated.

Once the location has been defined, we will have to define shapes, measurements and style that we want to give it, such as a Japanese pond, natural or neutral. It is a task that can be complicated, but in reality we just have to take action and make a sketch on paper of how we want it to look.

Decorate it with plants

A water garden without plants is not a garden. In the pond you have to put those that do not grow too much, that is, those that, once they reach adulthood, can be well in it. For example, if you measure 5 square meters, the ideal would be to put water lilies (Eichhornia crassipes), water rush (Schoenoplectus acutus) or we could even put papyri (Cyperus papirus) with flowerpot.

To make it look really good, it is convenient to do a small research study and choose those that can decorate the pond without having to worry too much about them.

Include some fish

Koi fish

Cold water fish will bring your garden to life. There are some very nice ones, like koi. But before putting them on, it is important to make sure that they withstand the temperatures in the area well, something that is really easy since we will only have to ask the seller of the pet store 🙂.
