Origin and characteristics
Our protagonist is a fern native to America, specifically the United States, Mexico, southern Panama, Brazil and Cuba. Its scientific name is Didymochlaena truncatula, and is known as mahogany maidenhair. It is characterized by having bipinnate fronds (leaves), green in color, and light brown spores. It reaches an approximate height of 1,5 meters.

What are their cares?

- Location:
- Exterior: in semi-shade, under the branches of other trees for example.
- Indoor: in a room where there is a lot of natural light, but not direct light, and where the ambient humidity is high (here you have tricks to get it).
- Irrigation: frequent. It has to be watered 3-4 times a week in summer, somewhat less the rest of the year. Use rainwater or lime-free.
