The flowers are very fragrant, and when they are pollinated, the fruit begins to mature, which will end up measuring 15-20cm in diameter and whose pulp will be orange with a mango smell, appearance and flavor and will have many seeds.

It is a very interesting plant, not in vain, has medicinal properties: in Mexico it is used as a remedy for fever and chills. It is also used to relieve jaundice, and the decoction of the bark against dysentery.
