What is the meaning of orchids

Some consider these flowers to be the most elegant of all. I do not know if you think the same, but the truth is that they are an authentic natural wonder. In tropical gardens you will find them climbing, always under the shade of the trees, on the trunks, which each year will cover with flowers. As a houseplant it has also turned out to be a very good candidate to give a fresher, more lively touch to the room where you want to place it.

Let's talk about what is the meaning of orchids.

A total of 25 thousand different species are known, despite the fact that in many places only between 20 and 30 are found on the market. Each of them has its own characteristics, but what is most striking is the color and distribution of its petals. As we mentioned in a previous article, there are orchid flowers that remind us a lot of animals. Phalaenopsis, for example, if you look closely at them very soon you will begin to distinguish a bird's head.

But, let's see in more detail what the color of orchids means. As we know, there are some that are white, others yellow, others pink, others red,… well, there is a lot of variety. And each of them, depending on the color, will be a more or less successful gift..

That being said, we have:

• Red orchids: they are excellent to convey to the person you are attracted to all the love you feel for them.
• Blue orchids: ideal for transmitting a state of calm and peace. They are the most suitable to give to a person who is not going through his best moment, or even to have in your room or living room.
• Yellow orchids: if the red ones are to start a love relationship, the yellow ones will help you to strengthen it even more.
• White orchids: these flowers are the symbol of purity in its most literal sense.
• Pink orchids: pink has always been related to innocence, but also to femininity. It could be, for example, the first orchid that you give your daughter 🙂.
• Bicolor orchids: in the case that we have orchids that have two or more colors, the meaning of both are combined; In other words, if the flower is yellow and white, it will help us to transmit a very intense and pure love to our partner.
